What can i say is more Digimon, which means you are here because you are familiar with the series and the previous game on PS4. Fun story and familiar characters will keep you busy for a while on this open world digimon fighting game.

I have always wondered when they would bring back the original Digimon World gameplay back and this one does that. You raise digimons, by feeding and training them. Spend too much time training and they will eventually reach the end of their life. But no worries when they turn back into a baby some of their stats carry over so next time they will be stronger and can reach even higher evolutions.

I love my PS VITA. since naturally, digimon world was originally a vita game I was excited. but then it was announced a PS4 only release since the publisher claimed graphics were improved and other things would run better on the PS4. fine, whatever. then I bought this game, and man, is it terrible. the graphics are horrendous. There are tons of loading times whenever you change areas. the landscapes are also small and barren. this is clearly a vita game that is being used as a quick money cash grab to charge for more on a PS4 since games retail at 59.99$ compared to the vita's lower price. so after playing this game, I was walking around and my digimon just fell over and died. I didnt lose or fight or walked into battle, my digimon literally just fell over and died. wtf is this? apparently they die from old age after about two weeks in game time; that would be fine except -the story in this game is horrible. basically the story is - we need to build a digimon city so collect everyone - that's it. I guess if you need to collect 300 monsters making them die without any user control is the easiest way to go. anyway, what it all boils down to and what you need to know - this game was not that fun. buy it for 20$ but I wouldnt spend more.

This game is a remake of Digimon World. It's complicated, tedious, and at times punishing if you don't adequately train up your digimon. If you're a fan of Tamagochi, and/or the World series, then I think you'd like this game. If you're expecting Cyber Sleuth, you may be disappointed.

Long, long ago, there was a game on the Playstation 1 called Digimon World. This game, Digimon World: Next Order, is a spiritual sequel.Digimon World: Next Order is a pet raising game where you raise monsters called Digimon and progress through the story together. Your Digimon is not a party member you control, but a partner that you must work together with. In that way, this is not a traditional RPG.The raising mechanics are very in depth, so much so that most players are going to have unique experiences. During the combat, you mostly leave your partner Digimon to it's own devices and hope that all of your training and teaching will pay off.The story is solid and there's enough motivation to keep moving forward, and there is a nice surprise for those who have played the original Playstation 1 game. Even so, it's absolutely not necessary to play the original game to jump into this one.I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes that Tamagotchi style raising of pets. For anyone looking for a more traditional RPG, look up some gameplay to see if it may interest you.

This game is exclusive to the PS4. And this game is the continuation of the past game Digimon World that was for the PS1. This game is fun and really recommend the game and hope to see in the future another game like this one maybe a continuation.

I bought this game because im a huge nerd. I heard "digimon" and I was sold. this game is not for the weak of heart and soul. I must have sunk 80+ hours into this game, and a solid 60 was grinding... pros only. amazing game.

This is the best successor to the original Digimon world that someone could ask for. The game is addictive and so fun, if you love Digimon and/or Monster Raising games then this is for you!

I grew up with the Digimon series and I was able to play the last game that was released for PS4. This game is great! I know it's a remake of another Digimon game that we got for Playstation, but for them to bring it back into PS4 is just awesome! I love that you can train your digimon and try to discover new evolutions and battles.

and was not disappointed. it took me some time to figure out how to raise my digimon, but this game has very striking similarities to the first digimon world on the ps1 (namco bandai, please put dw 1, 2 and 3 on the psn store!).overall, the game is fun, but after playing cyber sleuth, i felt that was a better game in terms of a JRPG. make no mistake though, this game is still a great game and is one worthy purchase for fans of monster raising or digimon!would love to see more games come to NA from namco bandai and the digimon series.

If you enjoyed the original PS1 game then this is going to be what you want out of a sequel. After a long line of sequels that were nothing like the first one, they finally made a game in the same style of number 1.This isn't a very forgiving game and you may get confused. Digimon die in this game and you have to start over a lot If you don't like this style of gameplay stay away. This game is all about training digimon and messing with stats in order to recruit other digimon to your town. You don't directly get into combat you are on the sidelines basically giving suggestions for your digimon. All in all its a good game for me and that's why i supported this release.

I was surprised when I saw this game was coming to the US. I played the original Digimon World on PS1 so long ago and remember how fun it was, but how unforgiving and frustrating it was too! This game addressed a lot of problems. Digimon have longer life-spans, requirements for digivolutions aren't as strict, and they still managed to capture the fun of training and raising a Digimon team. You've gotta let your Digimon sleep when they're tired, use the bathroom when they gotta go, feed them when they're hungry, scold or praise their behaviors.. Amazing visuals, tons more Digimon.. if you love Digimon then you need to buy

This game is very grindy. You'll spend a lot of time training your digimon in the gym, instead of out in the field fighting other monsters. Know what you're getting into.
